Oh, March. You were looking to be an awesome month… and then? Then you gave me a fractured foot and a broken leg. March, you're fired.
What Happened With March's Goals?
Continue working on the SFR Station website. I did work on this a little bit, and I still have a long way to go on it. But I'm making progress on the content and I hope to be done soon!
Start Bookbub Ads. Nope. Again this didn't happen.
Copy edit and publish THE DAYDREAMER DETECTIVE FINDS HER CALLING. DONE. Thank god, I got the most important task done before I broke my leg.
Finish the paperbacks for the whole Miso Cozy Mysteries series. DONE. Also glad that this task is done because it took a long time and was a bit stressful.
Make teasers for THE DAYDREAMER DETECTIVE FINDS HER CALLING and edit all the old teasers for the whole Miso Cozy series. I did do the teasers for THE DAYDREAMER DETECTIVE FINDS HER CALLING but I didn't edit the old teasers. I'm going to table that task to the summer.
Start writing Flyght 3. Here's where I get a little depressed. The day I broke my leg was the day I was going to start writing this book. I was SO EXCITED. I had the first act all plotted and was ready to get to it. I obviously haven't touched this book since the accident. I have been managing my pain, which makes me distracted and very uncreative. I can barely concentrate to do anything, not even read a book. I'm hoping in another week, that will change.
Plan and execute a Harry Potter birthday party for my oldest. Also, didn't happen due to the accident. Planning happened and then I ended up in the hospital. We are planning to postpone this to the end of April.
It's mammogram time. I did get my mammogram and everything was okay there!
Get a new doctor. I kinda wish I had done this before my accident. All the doctors at the hospital asked who my primary care physician was and I told them I didn't have one because I fired my last doctor. They were understanding, but still. Sigh.
Intermittent fasting, knitting, walking/stairs, stretching, pottery, and reading. So basically, I can't do any of this anymore. I can't intermittent fast because the meds make me nauseous if I take them on an empty stomach. I'm managing too much pain to knit. Walking and stairs are a no-go. There is some stretching happening with physical therapy. Pottery class ended and the next one doesn't start until April 11, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to go. I'm doing some reading but not a lot.
A Look Back At March
Business Goals For April
Continue working on the SFR Station website. Every month until this is done.
Reveal the new covers for the Nogiku Series. This will be a lot of work, just like the Miso Cozy Mysteries were. I need to save out all the new images, upload them to the website, attach them to all the ebooks, redo all the ebooks, reupload them, and redo all the paperbacks. I hope to accomplish all the little steps during moments when I'm not feeling a lot of pain.
Start Bookbub Ads. Once the Nogiku Series new covers are up, I'll make a few Bookbub ads and get them running. I want a small drip campaign to run constantly to bring me new readers.
Start Facebook Ads. Same as with the Bookbub Ads, I will be running an ad to bring in new readers to the series.
Start writing Flyght 3. I'm hoping I can start on this in mid-April at the latest. Right now, I'm not feeling it but I think if I open my Evernote file and look at what I had planned before the accident, I might start the wheels turning.
Personal Goals For April
Plan and execute a Harry Potter birthday party for my oldest. Hoping to get this up and running by the end of the month.
Work on healing this broken leg and fractured foot and start physical therapy. As soon as I'm cleared to drive, I hope to get started on physical therapy. My chiropractor also has a physical therapist on staff, so I hope I can start with her if she has an opening. If not, I'll get a referral.
Put all other personal goals on hold. I can't wait to get back to intermittent fasting and knitting and walking and all the things that make me happy. But healing this leg is priority number one because I can't do any of that without the healed leg. So I will be back to those goals, hopefully by summer.
Have a great April!
