Today, C. S. Wilde is here to talk about her science-fiction romance novel, FROM THE STARS.
I asked C. S., “What is your favorite thing about this book or series?”
She replied…
Well, it's very much Star Trek meets Romeo and Juliet, which isn't something you can easily find out there. I wanted a story that would meet readers' expectations, but also grow into its own animal, and so the Dimensions series was born.
Star Trek meets Romeo and Juliet? I love this mashup! Really, anything that pulls from Shakespeare is a YES PLEASE in my book. :)
To be with him, I’ll go to war with the entire galaxy.
When I came to Earth disguised as a human, my goal was simple: to study how earthlings feel. Strong emotions are forbidden in the Whisar Empire. If the council discovers what I’m up to, they’ll pull my heart out. Literally. But I’m a researcher and I need to know things that are a mystery to me, no matter the cost.
When I discover that a human called James Bauman might’ve fallen for me, I see an opportunity I can’t miss. My human body reacts to him in strange ways; ways that could answer all my questions and also get me killed.
Perhaps he can show me what love is. But if he succeeds, the wrath of an ancient alien race will crash upon us… and doom James forever.

Have you ever read any sci-fi and Shakespeare mashups?
I've seen a lot of fairytale retellings but not as many Shakespeare stories in space. What do you think?
