July 2016 Goals

Hi everyone! I'm back with a new month's worth of goals. We're at mid-year now, and work is rolling along. Let's take a look at June's goals and then set some for July.

What Happened With June's Goals?

The Nogiku Series with its new look and feel is out there and I love it! Right now, it's doing well because I'm pumping money into it. We'll see how it does into the future.

I did not blog ahead. I seem to only be able to get one week ahead, if that. Oh well.

I didn't write the December novella for the shared world project because I'm out of that project now due to legal stuff. I lost $50 on that, but I recently got a Freebooksy ad for free, so now I feel like the two have cancelled each other out and I'm okay with it. :)

THE DAYDREAMER DETECTIVE BRAVES THE WINTER teasers and blog tour posts are all done. And the book launches next week!

I finished one of the two articles for my friend. It was REALLY long and required a ton of research, so I'm glad I got THAT done. Lol.

Business Goals For July

Thankfully this month is looking good and not too busy!

Launch THE DAYDREAMER DETECTIVE BRAVES THE WINTER on July 7. That's this coming week! It'll be my 9th published book. *gulp*

Participate in the blog tour THE DAYDREAMER DETECTIVE BRAVES THE WINTER. This involves tweeting and sharing posts, commenting on the posts, and spreading the good cheer.

Participate in the SFRB Summer Blog Hop from July 11-15. I will get my post ready for that this week.

Write a non-fiction book I have planned! Since it's Camp NaNoWriMo this month and the shared world thing isn't happening, my current production schedule is: non-fiction book in July, Miso Cozy Book 3 in August (with my trip to Japan), possibly start a new series in September. We'll see where this lands me. But I hope to get the non-fiction out before the end of the year.

Keep the blog updated. I'd like to post a few times per week like I have been. It's been good for my traffic.

Write the second article for my friend. This one should be easier. I hope to get it done before the end of July.

Work on my Facebook ads. Now that I have my mailing list in a good place, and I increased my sign-ups from 400 to over 1000 in June, it's time to work on my Facebook strategy. So far, I haven't had much luck here, but I've made some breakthroughs this week and I think I might be on the right path. We'll see!

Personal Goals For July

Keep up with the exercise. I've been good. Not exercising every day because some days I just can't with everything going on, but most days I can. Walking and working at the treadmill desk has been good! And Runkeeper thinks I'm doing well, too.

Keep reading. I didn't finish a book, but I'm close. Holy smokes, WINTER is long. But I also had to read DATING FOR DECADES for my partner, Tracy. That WAS a whole book finished, and I'm done with beta reading for a while.

Knit. Now that the pool is open, I can listen to my audiobook there and knit. I need to finish this damned shawl I've been working on for over a year!

Okay! That's it! The kids are in camp every day, and each day it's nice, we're at the pool. I can do this! And I'm staying positive too. I had some down days in June, but it was still better than previous months. Each month gets a little better.
