It was the first full week back to school and work after the long holiday break. During the holiday break, I slept in almost every day, so it was tough getting up at 6:15/6:30 this week, and by mid-week I needed a nap, big time. It was also REALLY cold and windy this week. So cold that I had to drive my oldest to school which is only five blocks from here. I loathe having to drive to school because of the weather. I really look forward to getting out and stretching my legs every day, that walk to school and back energizing me for the rest of the day. But thankfully, it was only one day!
Then my oldest got sick later in the week. She was pretty miserable but just wanted to spend Friday watching Netflix in her room. Fine by me! I actually got a lot of work down amid taking care of her. The weekend around here was nice and low-key. The oldest was fine by Saturday morning and the kids went to birthday parties. I got lots of writing and work done. I'm pretty happy with the way the week turned out!
I struggled with VAT this week but I think I have all my books taken care of!
It snowed a little which did not make me happy, but it was nice that only a small amount fell.
Leg warmers were necessary this week!
I finished reading Nogiku Book 4! I have some work to do, but I was pleased with my initial draft. I finished it and it made me cry.
Sunday Word Count Check-in!
Expected Word Count: 16,500
Total Word Count: 20,394
Obviously I'm ahead of the game early in January and now I'm banking words for the inevitable burn-out. Lol. Today was good. Wrote and finished a sexy times scene and wrote out beats for the next few chapters. Goal this week: stay ahead of the expected word count. Goal for this project: hit 80k and add in 5-10k on revisions.
