Sunday Update – November 9, 2014

I had to stop for a moment and remember whether or not I use a leading zero in my dates (I don't) but that's the kind of week it's been. A slow brain kind of week. The kids had a half day on Tuesday for Election Day (Why? I have no idea) and then had off Thursday and Friday during which we ran errands like pros. But it was difficult having little alone or writing time. When I don't get the words out, my brain comes to a grinding halt. Funny that before I started writing I never had this problem. Now I have it all the time!

A lovely fall day spent on the deck. #instagram365

The weather was nice in the earlier part of the week. It rained on Thursday and Friday though.

My Filofax is here! Let the planning begin! #instagram365

I got my new planner which I hope will keep me on task! I'll talk more about it in a future post.

#knitting and waiting at the passport office. Waiting waiting waiting. #instagram365

Now #knitting at the car dealership. Sigh. This is the Thursday of no #NaNoWriMo words.

#knitting while playing the Hello Kitty pop up game. Still zero #NaNoWriMo words.

And I knit pretty much all day on Thursday waiting at the passport office, the car dealership, and while I was playing games with the kids.

Workin'. With a G&T. #instagram365

Saturday, I spent all day working on blog posts for the coming week, image headers for my website, the new FACE TIME cover, and some of my non-fiction.

It was a busy week! I hope you had fun too. xo

  1. Just read your twitter chat post and this one. I am a bit sad Face Time is getting a new cover as I love the current cover, it fits the story so well! Although I am curious about the new cover as well.

I hope you made some progress with your knitting, it seems like you had a lot of time to do that seeing the pictures for this week. I would like to learn to knit someday, knitting seems like the kind of activity you can do everywhere without needing all your attention like with reading a book. My mom tried to teach it to me once. I always ended up with a much broader piece at the end then how I started, lol. I made a few knitted bookmarks back then. I’ve forgotten most of it already now though :(.

I hope you can get some more words writting next week, I can’t wait for Nogiku book 4. Does it already have a title?

    1. I feel the same way about the FACE TIME cover and love the concept. So the concept for the new cover is very similar, just softer and softer colors. I think the dark blue and modern fonts throws people off. During FT’s launch and the months that followed, I made sure to lurk on a lot of blogs that posted reviews and see what people said in the comments. The main sticking point was always the cover. I think, you and me and most other progressive bloggers and authors, liked the cover because it was really different and had cute touches, but readers want something they can identify as romance. I’m still not willing to put half-naked men on my covers :) So this is what I’m going to compromise with. Hopefully it’ll be up before the end of the month.

Book 4 does have a name! And I’m keeping it secret :) Shhhh. The writing is coming along well. I hit a lull around the 35k-45k spot but I’m gaining momentum now. I always falter at that point in the writing. Not surprising and I’m glad I got through it.

Knitting is the best! I can do it while listening to an audiobook, watching TV, or even having a conversation with someone else! A perfect multi-tasking activity.
